While we needed to represent the situation realistically, we chose to avoid depicting specific real-world locations to prevent potential repercussions in the future. Instead, we drew inspiration from various news reports and documentaries to craft impactful yet generalized settings. For example, one scene recreates a tense moment where police officers threaten a child, reflecting the broader challenges faced by many without directly referencing a specific event or place.

We aimed for an art style reminiscent of a comic book, with a hand-drawn feel that emphasized the fact that these are children’s stories. The style was designed to be somewhat friendly, using elements like crayon or watercolor textures and bold, emphasized lines, similar to how a child might draw or how visuals appear in a comic. This approach brought warmth and relatability to the scenes while preserving the emotional depth of the narrative.
